500 error when accessing OWA after installing PHP web apps

After installing Joomla on one of my web servers recently, I discovered that I was no longer able to access OWA, being presented with a 500 error when trying to access the webpage. The cause of this problem was quite simple, but it took me a while to find. <add value=”index.php” /> had been added into my web.config file. Removing this value did not stop my php sites from working, but it did allow my OWA to start working again, so you might want to check it out!
